NEW REPLICA OF ORIGINAL VETERANS MEMORIAL
INSTALLED BY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

At the Veterans Memorial site, a new addition has been added. You will find an attractive monument that depicts the original memorial that had been in front of the elementary school. There will be a dedication of this new memorial on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2008. The original monument was dedicated on July 18, 1943 and 137 names were on the wooden monument. The original 137 names can be read on the new memorial. The artist etched each name so that we could read each one. He did a beautiful job. On the walk-way to the monument, three engraved pavers were installed.

 

Christmas in the Village’s Crafters Chinese Auction

We greatly appreciate our crafters donating an item to our auction.  It serves as advertising for them with their name and location, a fund-raiser for our organization and makes many people happy when they win a section of great crafts.
